This family.  I’ve already sat here for 30 minutes to try to gather my thoughts to put into words about how I feel about them. There is just not enough words to describe how amazing these people are. They have helped Josh and I in big ways, and  they might not even realize how much of a great example they are to us. I know that any one who has met them has felt at home and hugged from the very first hello. They are a treasure, and I am so happy that I know them.

We had plans to go to a field and take pictures, but it was a gloomy day, but we made the best of it and  We spent the afternoon baking cookies, and just enjoying their company. Miss you guys!

Meet the Alford family. One of the most fun families I have had the pleasure of photographing. I took some pictures of them a couple of days after Lamri was born. Then Josh and I drove down to raceland for this session. This was taken during the time when there were all kinds of terrible thunderstorms, and we crossed our fingers and toes and hoped for no rain for this day. Thankfully it didn’t even rain one drop during the session!! Yay!! Kristi, the mom, is pretty much the sweetest person I’ve ever met, ever. This is a fun bunch. You will see the kiddos  personalities shine through these photos.

Emily is not just the most thoughtful, caring, and nicest people I know. She is a proverbs 31 kind of lady. She always encourages, and will always be there when you need her. A true treasure of a friend, one of the best a girl can ask for.  I met her a long time ago. We went to middle school together for one year, and have kept in touch. She reached out to me in one of the most difficult times in my life, and for that I am forever grateful.  I  feel so honored to have captured these moments for her. Every detail of this wedding pointed straight to love. Stan you have a gem. Emily, I am so happy you found your perfect mississippi man! (big hugs)

This is a long post, but a very good one. It was very difficult to narrow down my favorites in to one blog post.

courtney contacted me about a month ago to photograph their engagement session. we first planned to do it, and had to reschedule do to weather. then we finally thought the weather was going to give us a break, then  the weather got even worse, and it forced us to wait almost a whole month to do their engagement session.  thankfully this day could not have been any more beautiful. the weather was perfect. the light was incredible. these two are so much fun. they basically danced the whole time, and lots of twirling was done. my kind of party! in total, there are over 200 images, and i tried my hardest to pick a few, but I still picked over 50. I couldn’t just choose a few. hope you enjoy!

I have been photographing this sweet family since allie had little canon in her belly. I photographed her maternity session, and even her birth (it was one of the most beautiful and rewarding experiences of my life), Canon’s new born pictures, and finally now his one year old pictures. I love when clients become good pals. There were so many pictures. It was so hard to narrow them down!
